Apart from the premium channels sky are holding onto, IMO there is not much more I would like to see, the one that springs to mind is Hallmark HD but I have a feeling it will launch on VM when it's rebranded.
there is Sky one HD but that's coming soon........
Not sure in the exact prices but I think both offer value for money

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. III
the only big channels missing as the sky basics, history hd and national geo wild hd. Once these are all added i'll be pretty happy, we'll have to wait for ofcom for sky sports 3+4, sky sports box office hd.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. III
I've played Fireman Sam today from the TV Choice On Demand menu and noticed adverts for Crunchy Nut Cornflakes pasted on to the ends of the program.
Now where was all the "coming soon" info on this!!
And some people say that Virgin's marketing department is rubbish...

i can think of a lot more than just the sky basics and them three.
crime & investagation HD
ESPN America HD
Good Food HD
Hallmark HD
Bio HD
Disney Cinemagic HD
LUX HD
MGM HD
Rush HD
plus the channel that SKY wont give VM as part of Basics HD
SKY Sports News HD
also EDEN HD has a october launch date for SKY.
there is 11 there added to the ones you mention you can see its a pretty big list of channels that VM dont have. im not saying that all appeal to me (a fair few do though) but its a big chunk of HD content VM appear to have/want.

Do you think VMedia delayed launching new channels so they could implement adverts for Crunchy Nut Cornflakes?

Look People, it could be worse. We could be on BT Vision. How many HD channels have they got?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. III
Music on demand is totally ruined with these stupid adverts for Rice Krispies and Crunchy Nuts Clusters before and after the videos! When did this happen?
Here's what's coming soon, me no longer using Music on demand. This sucks

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. III
Just a quick catch up on how Sky and VM get channels"
Sky - TV companies pay Sky for an EPG slot on the Astra system
VM - VM pay TV companies to show their channel
Therefore Sky can get a channel up and running very quickly as any old channel can join (horse and country tv) and they get paid for it, the contract negotiations for VM take a lot longer.
Hence why it will nearly always be on Sky first.

I didn't know that, looks like Sky will always be the TV market leader

I think that you are not telling all!
Sky and others pay Virgin Media to have places on the cable EPG.
